Just wanted to say I was Saved at Solid Rock in 2003. and also be came a member. Solid Rock was such a blessing to me at that time in my life and really learned alot from the new members classes and from coming to Church weekly. I will never forget the first time I heard the BELIEVE series. When Pastor Darlene told the church how God got her up in the middle of the night and gave her what BELIEVE meant. I was so blessed by that teaching. Also the Prayer od Faith teaching was also a blessing. Just a week ago I brought back out the BELIEVE series, and have been listening to it everyday. I'm glad I did, because I needed something to remind me what God has already told me about my life and the places he is taking me. When I 1st got saved, the person that prayed for me told me spoke something in my life I will never forget. I still think about it to this day. I'm believing God for my healing and I'm standing on the word of God and I know it is God will for me to be healed. So I thank Pastor Lawernce and Darlene for their wonderful ministry. I now live in Texas and now married to a great husband and have 3 great kids. Thank you again.

I visited your church on Sunday and was a little intimidated by the size, but really enjoyed the word.

I recently had to make a trip to Michigan and was traveling from Tennessee. I have had many things come up recently that challenged my faith. I won’t say that I have lost my way but I will say I have faced some huge obstacles put before me. These things happen every day and seem to be intensifying at rapid speed. I know that this is to test me and I pray for the strength to pass everyday. I saw the statue of Jesus as I was approaching and it really took my breath away. This was more than a symbol to me and this may be made of metal and styrofoam but spoke loudly in my heart. I wanted a photo but had to travel back in the early morning hours and could not get one. I found some on your website and wanted to take an opportunity to let you know that this touched me in many ways I am not certain how to express. I will look at these pictures as a reminder of what should never be forgotten. I also have this as my screen saver at home and my boss put it on our work computer. Please know you have touched many far away as well as close to home. May god bless you and those who follow him.

Hi, I was just sitting here this morning watching my WLJC christian station and saw your wonderful preaching Mrs Bishop. When I realized, I always pass by your wonderful church on my way to visit my family in Michigan. One morning in particular, I turned around so I could go back and take a picture, which by the way is no easy feat on interstate 75, but on this particular morning, the beautiful, blessed statue of Christ just jumped out at me. It was an early spring morning and the spirit of the Lord just come over me and I just thanked God for being alive at that moment and having the blessing to see this wonderful symbol of our Lord. The early morning light with the sun barely starting to rise, just made ithis experience all the more special and spiritual. Thank You so much for fighting to have this built in such a wonderful place for all that pass by it to see, whether they are a christian or not. Christ did die for a ALL that do pass by. I thought if it could touch EVERYONE the way it did me that beautiful morning ,me being a christian, than someone that isn't a christian that sees it, may be saved if they would just open their hearts to Him and just accept Him as their Lord and Saviour. He has been telling me about this big statue of Jesus by the expressway, but can never take a picture because of going too fast. I had the pleasure of viewing and sharing the anointing of the last Sunday of the year of 2008 service online. I praise God for the Word of God delivered to my spirit man. God has a remnant yes!
The Lord said in the last days that there will be a hunger for the Word of God. Many false Prophets and Pastors etc. I don't even want to go there and sound like I'm looking for an excuse or to tear the body of Christ down. I just want to take the time out and say "Thank you" for letting God use your life in these last evil days. I send encouragement as each Pastor needs. I was learning how to play piano for the song "No Weapon" by Fred Hammond using internet video tutorials, when I came across the video of Stace Darden singing this song. Having a strong passion for music and a newfound love of using sound and voice as instruments to build a stronger relationship with God, I had goosebumps and became immersed in Mr. Darden's song.

The church's website address was provided alongside the video and I wanted to learn more about your church, and I want to say thank you to Mr. Darden for expressing himself through song and for allowing all of us to show our expressions.

About me, I'm 24 years old and I currently live in Florida (Miami/Fort Lauderdale area) where I will be receiving my doctorate of physical therapy in May. I was working with patients with spinal cord injuries at one of the major hospitals in Miami, when I recently became very sick myself. I've been seen by many physicians over the past month or so and I was becoming entangled in a web of anger and doubt and fear and hopelessness. This song "No Weapon" has been a major inspiration to me and has guided and reminded me that no matter what tries to knock me down, whether it be disease or human being or natural disaster, I have God standing next to me and He will protect me.

I am an over the road truck driver. I have been driving on 75 for years now. I can say that this was my first time I ever paid attention to the statue. I parked on the shoulder to take pics of the statue an officer pulled up behind me. I told him that I was sitting here amazed at the statue. It like when I seen it the I felt the lord telling me to soak in his presence. But a long story short I am interested in coming to a service in the near future. Thank and have a blessed Day

I attended MEC as a little girl. My parents were Larry and Cheryl. I live about three hours away now, so I go to another church. I ran across you on a mutual friend's site, and decided to find out when I could catch you on T.V. I miss the sermons I got back then. I am a sunday school teacher and mother of 6 now, so those lessons get passed on from time to time. I miss Pastors Lawrence and Darlene, too. I haven't been in your area since the early '90's, but I still pray for you every day. God bless you. I love you both.

I have just a few months ago moved here from North Carolina. I have struggled since I have arrived here. My job is on the line every day. I have lived all winter with just a kerosene heater to heat my mobile home with as I can't afford to get propane in my tank. My electric, water and phone iare about to be cut off. We have went to 3 days a week at work and I live on oddles of noodles and pb sandwiches. I need a blessing and prayer. I'm looking for a good solid church that preaches the word of god. I'm hoping if I can find it to come to services this Sunday, I don't yet know my way around here . I have visited a cple churches but was not comfortable there. I grew up with god fearing parents. Graduated from christian school. I really need to find me a good church.
PS: never been in this situation before so if you can guide me maybe to someone or resources that can hep me with my issues I would be so grateful.

i really miss Solid Rock. we went there for 3 years. until we moved here inid in 05, i am hurt to see the churches struggling with the election that has come and passed. but i do know the bible says we will have trouble but he has overcome the world. and i know as sure as I live, that Solid Rock Church will survive. how i know?our precious pastors do not tickle our ears, they tell us straight up what God expects from us!!! keep on telling us Darlene and Lawrence, God will bless you for that. thank you both for standing tall through the storms,yall give us hope when trouble and sorrows come our way. god bless and keep you safe in his care

I visited Solid Rock Church on December 7th 2008. I was invited there by Minister Toni Miles. I had recently decided to rededicate my life to God and come out of the closet regarding my alcoholism and drug abuse. I have hid this from my church family for many years. Due to her unyielding love for God and for people she took me by my hand and led me to the alter where she along with some of the Saints gathered around me and laid hands on me and prayed for me. Today I feel delivered and my outlook regarding living is changing. No one knows how long I have secretly wanted someone to take me by my hand and lead me to the alter for prayer of deliverance. It took more than a five hour drive to get to the church, but today I say thanks to God and to my friend and the Saints for being obedient to God. I did not have to "work" to feel accepted at this church, everyone was so friendly. Now back in Tennessee and mostly alone, I have the memories of the Saints at Solid Rock to help me make it and to stay focused on why God loves me.

I am not real computer savy these days and I just came on this website to try and find out when your services were in Beachmont so I could come visit you tomorrow, anyway I seen your prison ministry and clicked on it as a "guest" I read the three strikes your not out and Mr. and Mrs. Bishop, I just want you to know that in 2003 I had three children, was 27 years old and my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer, my mom kept trying to get me to go to your church and I would'nt. I had to move to Tennessee to a hidden shelter for domestic violence with my three young children where I knew no one that is where I got rooted and grounded in God and every morning I would watch this little fiery lady on the TV talkin about B.E.L.I.E.V.E. not knowin it was the same lady. Makin a long story short he passed away, I am now remarried with another baby... my husband is in prison for the 3rd time (two of which I have been there through) I that testimony was what I really needed, thank you and I feel I am devinly destined to be under the disipleship and covering of SRC, I have also seen Mrs. Bishop in Florida twice and I pray that God bless the Bishop's and SRC ten fold what he has done for me thru you and your church.

Used to attend Solid Rock Church some but haven't been to a service since 1999. I attend a Baptist church now in Miamisburg but I feel my church has "lost" something. After 9 years I think I am going to come back to Solid Rock. I like the new statue you guys put up its great! One more thing I have to say I like the mix of people at Solid Rock church. Its the only church I have ever attended that has all different races and thats great! Too many churches seem to be segregated and some day heaven will be all christians black, white and others together. If us christians cant have racial harmony than who can?? I am a truck driver and saw your statue of JESUS while it ws still being built but never got to see it finished.

Then as I'm listening to the radio one day, I hear a song by one of my favorite comedians called "Big Butter Jesus" because he said that when he drove by and saw it that it looked like it was made out of butter. He said it was in southern Ohio and I knew right away where it was.

I now drive semi through your area again and I got to see it finished. I see the sign and it makes me want to stop some time.

Then I find a book at a Pilot truckstop called "Fatherless Son", I get to the back of the book and see that Brother Peter is at your church and now I really want to stop. Can I get a semi in there without the trailer??

I really feel the need to stop in some time and since I can't make it to sevices at my church because I have to leave early sunday mornings it would help to fill my need of fellowship.

If not, then I plan on stopping in on my vacation in July while on my motorcycle trip to kentucky. And the video services are awsome, I plan on getting a laptop for my truck with wireless internet so I can watch.

It's awsome what you guys are doing there to make a difference in the lives of so many people...may GOD Bless You All. P.S. If you see a big purple semi come pulling in some day it's me. And thank you for the statue, It's another reminder that GOD is always with me as I pass by there every day.

that it was out of sight!!!! The service was absolutly dynamic and inclusive. That is the way I praise Jesus and experience His word. Church for me, is a place of self recollection, self reflectance, and self growth. It is a place of connecting at a personal level with Christ and hearing what He needs you to understand. It is a place of praise, worship, prayer, fellowship, guidance, leadership, and service. If a church can do all those things while praising Jesus, I believe that it is doing God's will. I want to let your staff know that I was highly suprised of the message I recieved today. Usually at a church your size, demension, and impact, that preaching gets distorted and though there is a message, there isn't a message of God's will. And that very preaching of God's will I saw today in SRC, was the church I want to praise Jesus. Being a freshman in college, I was worried about finding a place of worship, being that I had it at home, but was mistified if I were to find the same here. And I can tell you, that SRC is just what I ordered, and just what God ordered for me.

Hello People!

I just stopped by to share a dream I had. I had this wonderful dream that God allowed me to be a part of. I was on top a mountain with a messenger from God. We were over looking a very large valley with all kinds of people down in the valley from every race and nationality (all walks of life- thousands upon thousands). The messenger stated- everything that I am about to tell you, I want you to share with all the people in the valley. The messenger advised me to tell those that are still following God, to keep following Him- because its almost time, then he advised me- I want you tell tell those that have fallen back, to get back- to come back to God- he said tell them! He said tell them- whether they are ready or not- He's coming! He told me- Tell Them! As I looked over towards the people in the valley, then I looked over to the messenger again, but he was already gone. I, then looked towards the people in the valley and told them what the messenger told me to tell them, and as I did, some of them got excited, some of them got worried, some of them just stood there looking at me and other looked like they didn't care. Then God allowed me to see something going on in the middle of them. In the middle of them was a large, ancient looking metal bowl- an old bronze or brazen looking bowl, and alot of people were gathered around the water bowl- they were washing there hands. After the scene of the large bowl, I woke up earlyin the morning and started praying, then I called up my aunt who is a sunday school teacher, she advised you better take it serious and share it with people like you were instructed, thus brings me to this web site. There is a verse in the Book of Revelation that states- Behold I come quickly and my reward is with me! People get ready, if you are not ready get ready and stay ready!

I went to a web site where many people complained about the statue that you built. Some complained about the amout of money spent, others just did not like it or thought you could have used the money a little more wisely.
I left a response for those that critcized you and I thought you should here what I had to say.

There are many works of art that also depict the "perceived" image of Jesus. You would probably be amazed at the cost of maintaining these other works of art. Imagine all the people that could have been fed if the Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel had not been built or if they just decided to quit maintaining the paintings in it.
No one criticizes the Catholic Church when they purchase a pipe organ, even though your basic pipe organ goes for about $250,000 The same cost as the mentioned statue.

Mat:26:7: There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
8: But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9: For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
I believe this woman was led by God but the disciples that walked with Jesus thought it was an outrageous waste.
Most of the things God had men do appeared foolish to even the religious of the day.
This Pastor knew that he would be criticized for building the statue even though God told him to.

19: For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

22: For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

24: But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25: Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

This is what God thinks of our wisdom, and your wisdom regarding the statue this Pastor did build
I am not mad or offended by any of the other posts, but I don't understand that with all the things there are in this world that are in desperate need of criticism your target was this church.

My daughter and I really enjoyed the conference. I was so impressed with how the seating was handled. The volunteers who seated the people in the front did it with authority, grace and mercy. PRAISE THE LORD for SRC and Pastors Bishop and Bishop.
I saw Pastor Darlene on tv a while back talking about the
home to help pregnant teenagers. The testimonies of some of the girls who had been blessed by this ministry brought me to tears of joy. I love the Lord and all of his children, especially the teenagers. God gave me the gift to motivate and communicate well with the young people. It would be so awesome to wake up every morning to go to work in a home such as this.
God Bless you Pastor Darlene for this ministry of helping girls turn thier life around. What satan meant for bad, God meant for good. By teaching them just how Good God is and the basic skills necessary for life makes every young ladies life now a living testimony.
